Business Location
From a traditional trading center whereas shipbuilding
and the ports used to be the cornerstone of Bremen´s economy,
the city is now evolving into a pioneering business location with
great technological expertise.
The spectrum of the business activities ranges from
the automobile right through to aerospace and aviation industry, a
vast variety of food, beverage and tobacco industry to EDP and satellite-assisted
logistics, from micro-systems engineering to simulation systems to
satellite construction, the T.I.M.E. sector and environmental engineering
to laser technology to pioneering service enterprises.
Bremen is home to the second-largest DaimlerChrysler
production plant in Europe, with a workforce of 16.000 and annual
production volume of 250,000 automobiles of the C-Class models, T-Model
and SL Roadster.
