Business Location

Pomerania ranks among the top Polish regions in terms of industrialisation. The highest share in the income generated by the regional business entities comes from oil refining, shipbuilding, fish processing, power generation, electronics, transport, trade and footwear production. For the next several years the economy of the Pomeranian region will continue to be based on the shipbuilding industry (Gdynia Shipyard Co., Gdansk Shipyard Co.) and branches related to the maritime economy.

From a traditional maritime and trading centre whereas shipbuilding and harbours used to be the core of Pomeranian economy the region has been evolving into a business location for advanced technologies in IT, electronics, construction works, pharmaceutical and cosmetics production.

Tourism and assisting services are being quickly developed.
